Isn't Christmas Supposed To Be ONE Day?

Christmas is coming gone and the Robin goose is getting fat. Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas! The past couple days have been long but fun..

First, we woke up and opened presents with our best friends....

then went to the hospital to visit Harvey (my mother in law's boyfriend)..he just had a quad bypass on Monday :-( but he's doing very well....

then went to see Paul Sr (Piper's Grandpa)...

then over to Grandma's (my mom-in-law) for dinner....(I along with my husband, brother, sis-in-law, and parents will now call this The Night That Robin Took The Worst Pictures Ever - they will not be shown here)

I decided it would make a perfect wine glass..

then decided a helmet would be a better bet..

See what my brother does to me while I cat-nap? No respect.. Later Christmas night back at our friend's house.

Chillin while trying to convince Chuck that chocolate covered fruit is not healthy by quoting the carb/suger content of each serving..

He wasn't convinced...

Christmas was STILL not over. We spent the evening at my parents house tonight eating dinner and opening gifts...I really don't know how I can eat any more...Anything I've done in the last 3 months to stay in shape will now be down the tubes..

The adults drew names this year. We each had to keep our gifts down to $50 and had to be very creative in our presentation to the person whose name we drew.

Paul had to break open a pinata blind-folded that my brother and sis-in-law made for him..His gifts were inside.

Paul put Keith's gift inside a spaghetti squash...

I cut out pages and pages of a cookbook and hid my dad's gift card in it. It's a potato cookbook. He hates potatoes with a vengence.

Misty and my mom had to go on scavenger hunts around the house to get their gifts.

The kids had fun too..

One more to go when we get back home. We still have to celebrate Christmas there as well...I know that Jesus is the reason for the Season but I still hope there is a MacBook under the tree for me..I really think He wants me to have one since I say my prayers every day and night. I don't think Paul agrees though. I probably have just coal in my stocking...

Roadtrippin

On the road. I hate roadtrips. Yeah yeah, I know I'm the only one,
whatever.

I must admit driving thru the snowstorm last night was pretty cool.
Taking the Polar Express train to the North Pole and meeting Santa was
magical. 10pm snowball fights are awesome.

Listening to Cheech and Chong's Santa Claus and His Old Lady. Peeing
my pants. This never ceases to lay me out! On Donner, on Blitzen, on
Chewy, on Vato!!!

Can't wait to get back into the blogosphere after the holidays. I've
been so outta touch with everything goin on. Gotta a lot of catching
up to do. Miss y'all Dani, Swirl, Slick, Jill, Kari, Loralee,
Bloggess, Brian, Why Mom Drinks Rum, Sarah, Grace, Jenny etc..!

I'm bored. Time to go back and annoy everyone on Twitter again.

The Show Is Done...

The show has ended. It was an amazing journey. One I will not forget. I met so many wonderful people, had some great laughs, and a ton of fun.

See if you can find me in a little photo montage video that a couple of us put together for the cast party... The official DVD will be out in a month or two. No seriously, it will. ;-)

Reasons Why Robin Shouldn't Be Allowed To Watch Boxing or Football aka PayPerView SUCKS.

We are HUGE ASU (Arizona State University) fans. They lost tonight against our rival UofA. Ugh. I have been an obnoxious jerk to another cast member in the play who is from Tucson and even went so far as to bet him a Starbucks coffee this morning that ASU would win. Great.

So anyway, on to the De laHoya vs. Paciano fight. I am in LOVE with Oscar De la Hoya. Lindsay and I boasted to our husbands that he would pummel PacMan into the mat.


I actually screamed and yelled during the fight, gambling losing my voice before the show opens this week, hoping it would encourage Oscar to get his 35 year old butt off the ropes and back in the fight to beat PacMan's butt. He lost....Rather he gave up the fight. Pathetic. I can only pray now that he heals well with no physical scars to his face. Yes, I can be that shallow.

It is obvious that I mojo'd both the game and the match. I can only hope to drown myself in a glass of wine and pray that my friend Will forgets our bet and how obnoxious I was to him. He's a cop though so I doubt it. I know it's only a Starbucks but it's losing a bet for peet's sake. It's still an ego blow.

Rehearsed songs with the vocal producer this morning.."More erethral, more breathy, more airy" he says. Cool, I can do that..no problem.

Rehearsed with my vocal coach this afternoon..."Your breathing is great" she says.."Love how airy certain parts sound," she comments..

Did our first full run-thru tonight. Thought the solo sounded good considering I'm not miked yet and the house audio is so unbalanced right now. Emotional, airy where it needed to be....As our director runs through his notes:

"Oh and Robin, your breathing was totally off tonight in your song, you need to work on more breath control".

Waa? Huh?
